Weatherproof wood can work for both covered and uncovered areas. Wood offers a distinctive, rustic look that goes well in an outdoor environment.

No matter what kind of patio furniture you ultimately choose, follow the manufacturer's instructions for care and maintenance to ensure it lasts for years to come. Avoiding harsh cleansers when cleaning and covering your furniture to protect against the elements when necessary are two of the best things you can do to keep your outdoor furniture in good condition. If your outdoor furniture has seat cushions, they should be removed and placed in a dry location before the furniture itself is covered to keep them in ideal condition as well.
